I heard on the radio the news just the other day of Seal Team 6 and a foreign team (some North African country iirc) that held a raid and rescued a bunch of hostages and killed 7 terrorists. No wounded good guys. I haven’t heard any more. But I thought too myself “I wonder what it would be like to be THAT awesome!?”
Although that guy on Seal Team 6 that said he killed Bin Laden quit because he had lost the fear factor. He said he was getting too cocky, and knew that was dangerous.

I just did that search and noticed there was a great variety of vehicles shown. Some look just like a Honda 4-wheeler Daddy had.

Found the news on that recent raid. It was in Yemen with some of their guys along. 8 rescued. An American and four others had been moved to another location just a few days earlier - so we didn’t get our guy out. Yet.
The first few photos of military dress ATVs, particularly the one w the sniper, fit the bill.
As Westerners, it is terrible we feel the need to talk about tactics. Vanity is our downfall. I wish we could STFU.

I agree. Terrorists can read and I am sure they will bet tipped off on the radio communications intercepts.
The SAS is very secret, this news might be serving some purpose, and doing no real harm.

Why do terrorists use terror? Because they are cowards at heart and know it would work on them, just as it worked on their forefathers who bequeathed them their cowardly genes. So rock on, SAS boys!

Good work - and courageous; there aren’t too many good places to hide over there that the locals aren’t observing.
Reminds me of the work of the late Robert Rogers against the French and Indians a while ago.
The risky tactic would be even more effective if the teams were used to target for air/loitering weapons/artillery.
