Well, Wikipedia says, “Despite the harsh conditions on the surface, the atmospheric pressure and temperature at about 50 km to 65 km above the surface of the planet is nearly the same as that of the Earth ...”, so that’s food for thought.

Right. At 1k millibars (surface of the Earth), it is almost exactly the same as the Earth (given distance from the Sun).

This totally blew my mind. If this can somehow get out to the world, AGW is goin’ bye bye.

While that is true, it is also true that the Pressure at the surface of Venus would crush you instantly, which is good because the temperature would fry you slowly while the acid melted your bones.

The author is trying to compare the atmosphere at the surface of the Earth to the atmosphere of Venus 50-65 km UP.

Not a valid comparison to try to use to prove the point.
