I think a man, like the fellow obsessed with crossed legs, is checking a guys crotch, the space between them, and his posture when sitting, has a different type of, ahem...interest than just a nonsensical argument.
I’ve never seen a guy cross his legs at the knee, and when he does cross them, they are crossed ankle at knee, definitely taking up more space.
Being a woman, I would guess that left or right orientation, there is a very specific reason, or two, that men do not cross their legs at the knees like women, IMHO.
