Actually, it's quite sincere.
I cannot imagine living without at least a dram of optimism. I you believe there is nothing to look forward to politically, what's the point of following it?
I wouldn't wish to believe that defeat is inevitable...
Then I will delete my other comment. I thought I was quite clear:
My 'hope' is conditional & slim. I clearly qualified that in my comment with, "“Feet to the fire” is my mantra. Things change in 90 days or they never change. ..."
But what I am intentionally vague about is that if things become what I now phrase as 'more than likely', tactics must change. It is a mandate. To not do so is defeatism...
