Taco Bell and the socialists are actually on the same side. Neither wants to pay a bunch of people $7 an hour. However, I don't think the socialists are going to like Taco Bell's solution, because although computer programmers make more than $20 an hour, they only need 1 for every 500 or so minimum wage employees they will replace.

That's what I always tell 'em. Any time a liberal brings up raising the minimum wage, I tell them that if they really want to help, then make it $50/hr. I then sit back and watch the look on their faces. They know deep down that there has to be something wrong with that, but they can't figure out what it is.

I agree. I’m just pointing out that not everyone wants a full time job. Most do but not everyone. Some people need a part time job so they can do other things with their time, like take care of family members, go to school, homeschool their children ... or they are starting a small independent business on the side ... lots of reasons why someone would want a part time job.
I agree mandating things like they are trying to do is going to lose jobs, full and part time.
