What is even more interesting is that India has nuclear weapons and flown rockets into space but most of its people crap outside.
India has 1.2 billion people. There are plenty of places that are incredibly crowded. The very poor in urban areas have no proper homes or bathroom facilities. They may barely have a space to put a roof over their heads, but no space for a toilet. Having a toilet may not be on top of their list of priorities, as opposed to putting some food in their bellies.
