I would say that the reason it is legal is because the American people have allowed its government to usurp their power almost entirely.
We have allowed this to happen.

At this point I just want the gov’t out of the marriage business. Strip out recognition penalties and benefits and let everyone file taxes as a single. Government has become a de facto church in this regard and thats bad.

You do realize that in almost every case (maybe EVERY CASE) it was judges, not the people or legislatures, that did this, right? Even California had a voter-supported ban on homosexual marriage until the judiciary came along.

And laws or court opinions that violate the laws of nature and nature’s God, or the Constitution, are null and void.
