The journalist's job is to produce copy that will sell news, while avoiding claims of defamation. If you want the truth, the last place you will rely on is "the news" or a journalist. If the issue is important to you, for any reason (even mere curiosity), then do your own independent research.

The press is the source of the false claim of objectivity and "truth teller." They are inflating their own value, engaging in puffery.
