The last US Surgeon General, Benjamin, resigned in July of 2013, and the replacement was not confirmed by the Senate as he was not deemed adequate for the job. An acting Surgeon General, a US Navy Rear Admiral, has not been heard from on border immigration illness intrusions or in regard to the eBola issue. The administration seems to be keeping him out of mind and out of sight. This is highly unusual.
