avg was more’hedaches than it was worth. use avira plus malwarebytes. couple others periodically/as needed. no norton, no avg.

Use AVG, no problems as for malwarebytes ... it never finds anything. Run Superantispyware every day, finds and cleans things that others don’t seem to find.

I used AVG for years until they made the free version into absolute crapware in about 08. Been using primarily Avast since then, but I’m cooling to them too. What do you think about Avast?

Free: Avira

Paid: Kaspersky and Bitdefender

Av-comparatives.org shows it in tests pretty well.
