When I was a veteran’s career counselor it was all about asbestos abatement. Haven’t heard much about that lately.
Training unemployed vets for this is a good idea.
However, until the solar panels operate in microgrids, they won’t have much impact. When that day comes, and it will, this program might work for the vets.
It goes without saying that training someone to do something only starts with the trainees ability of aptitude of basic skills to accomplish a said task.
Some people were just not equipped to turn a screw driver or manipulate a multi-tool. Just making a blanket statement like they did is nothing more than more of their posturing behind the curtain. Just another of “Hey! Lets come up with something to show the vets we are on their side!”, while at the same time they cannot get into a VA Hospital.
Then like another poster said in referencing the available workload to sustain a paycheck, these unicorn chasers in the White Hut have no friggin idea.
