At the source is a link to a project from 1996 used by SONY at an awards presentation. I am working with the man who had that video of Virtual Marilyn created.
I have acquired the licensing rights to develop animated 3D stickers (emoticons) of the 3D "persona" of the late Marilyn Monroe. The person from whom I have the rights recorded the idea and copyright in the Library of Congress. No, the estate of Marilyn Monroe cannot do anything about it. Court cases have determined that her domicile at the time of death was New York. If it were in California, where dead celebs estates have many more rights, this project would be stopped by the estate.
It is a big learning curve for me, but we plan to develop a large number of animated stickers for use on iphones, chatrooms, etc.
We are looking for people with skills who can do the work I have been trying to learn so I can do what I do best --- marketing.
There is only a limited budget now, so someone would have to be able to do some work for a percentage of the profits. We may do crowd sourcing (which I also have to learn) or develop strategic partners. We are working on those partnerships.
Until recently I did not even know what stickers were, but they are apparently a worldwide phenomenon to attach to messages. Things have evolved a long way since the original smiley face.
I guess these are probably used by those between 10 and 30, but I really need some education to get up to speed. Although many stickers are free, I have learned that people are willing to pay between .99 and 1.99 for a packet of 24-30. I am going to need to learn to think like a modern teenager. That may be somewhat challenging. Here is a very rudimentary one:
