I wonder what President Lincoln thinks of his state and the leadership. Did they close down the tours of his home and tomb?
I left Illinois about a year ago.
Visited Lincoln’s tomb several times and it was almost a spiritual experience for me. New Salem was interesting also.
I think Lincoln would object to Illinois license plates reading “Land of Lincoln”.
Maybe “Land of Commies”, or “Land of Al Capone” would be more appropriate.
Sadly, the rual areas are filled with good conservative people, that are overwhelmed by Crook Country.
