Just read something to this effect in today’s Wall St. Journal. Many jobs go unfilled because qualified applicants are few and far between or because Americans don’t see them as desirable. Quinn is unfortunately my governor and like Mayor Jane Byrne in the Seventies is doing this as a stunt that proves nothing.
Minimum wage positions are entry-level jobs for folks with no or little skill that can act as steps to better employment in the future. Only the unmotivated stay in such jobs.
