I wonder why this and the period of Barbary enslavement isn’t a bigger part of European history. Did the Europeans at the time really care less about the white slavery?
Oh, it was a very big deal at the time, but it’s no longer PC to mention it. In fact, Arab Muslims were at the heart of both the trans-Atlantic black African slave trade and the trans-Saharan black African slave trade, as well as the “white slave trade” in Europeans.
Slavery is at the heart of Islam, always has been always will be.
