My next novel involves the return of Muslim corsair "sea jihad" in the near future, and so I've been studying the history of "sea jihad" (and jihad in general) up to the present time.

The tempting part of all of this is that maybe this group will wipe out the problem groups (lawyers, feral blacks, public school officials, criminals, illegal alien criminals, etc.) in this country. If they do, they will garner support among some of the populace here. Islam has protected status here. Could get going...maybe that IS the goal of some in this government? That could be a real danger.

I think that what is going to happen first in the middle east and next in Europe will give America time to change its attitude about the religion of bloody pieces.
The Islamic State is engaging in classic overreach. Their terror videos work well to intimidate their next immediate victims, but they are also waking up the entire world to the truth about the classic Islamic jihad conquest formula.
Before the advent of ubiquitous video cameras and the internet, those a few countries over from Islam’s bloody borders just never really grasped the full horror.
That is changing now, thanks to the IS media terror campaign.

Who taught Mohammed the Islamic jihad conquest formula? Satan? Seriously, I truly believe CS Lewis was making a commentary on Islam in his Narnia series that involved the Calormen (cruel, barbaric, kidnapping peoples) who worshipped Tash, who Lewis revealed to be either Satan or a cruel demon.

The case has been made, even by some conservatives, that the Moorish period in Spain was a golden period. Jews and Christians were treated with tolerance, but the Spanish people that pushed out the Moors, treated them with contempt and intolerance. I wonder, is this revisionism, or is there some truth to it?
