In a recent conversed with an manager of a huge farm co-op about how he tended to over 150 acres of a labor intensive tobacco crop and his reply was green card Mexicans. He has not been able to hire any black workers since LBJ and the great society. Our black unemployed rate is around 14%—go figure.

I'm not saying this true of all blacks, but there's enough so that it can be called a trend: there's a difference between unable to work and unwilling.

I work in a prison and I know guys who are doing life and they've never had a job. Some of them learn a skill and develop truly good work habits on the inside. But it's a little late at that point. Young , strong healthy men whose socialization and education were completely ignored. So they have no skills, no sense of responsibility, no desire to do something with themelves. Big, dangerous and unstable children.
