Those who keep exclaiming that Brown was unarmed should read some of the stories Massad Ayoop has collected in book form.
One I well remember was the story of a fellow who started beating on a guy who was armed.
The armed person shot the bully six times. The autopsy determined that each shot hit a vital organ that would result in death.
And he did die.
But before he died, he beat the shooter to death.
Even in the infamous Miami FBI shootout, the bad guys were literally dead on their feet. But they still killed FBI men and in turn were killed by an FBI man who was terribly wounded. He lived, but as I recall was disabled for life.
So the idea that an unarmed man can not kill you or that it is evil to shoot a man more than once or twice is not based on real life experience.
Frankly, I like the logic of the lady who shot a home intruder 10 times.
The cops asked her why she shot him 10 times. Her reply...”Because that is all the bullets I had.”
Most police academies show the Trooper Mark Coates shooting to instruct recruits on how to stay vigilant. Trooper Coates was surprised but still managed to get to the point where he could shoot his assailant 5 times with a .357 revolver with hollow points.
His assailant took those hits and returned to fire with a .22 caliber pistol. The round went through Trooper Coates bicep into his armpit and severed his aorta.
The assailant survived.
