When first assigned to my ship in 1960, it was already in the Brooklyn Navy Shipyard. Had to smell NJ for a couple of months. .....Later, in 1962, we returned to the BNS and had to endure another three months of that horrible smell.

I know, it’s off topic, but just evidence that NJ has exhuded a bad odor for decades; including its ridiculous laws relative to guns.
