Don’t believe the one financed by the GOP. Don’t believe the one financed by the Chamber of Commerce. Don’t believe any of them that tells you we need to implement any kind of immigration reform other than enforcing current laws.

They're all running as true conservatives. I'm suspicious of both Paul Mitchell, because he was the GOP state finance director and is spending alot of money. I'm suspicious of John Molenaar, because he is a politician, a State Senator. Mitchell charges that Molenaar voted for a bunch of tax increases, 160 I believe. But he's been endorsed by the Tea Party Express and Sen. Mike Lee.
Who do believe?

Which one categorically states he will not allow any form of Amnesty, legitimization, pathway to citizen ship and want’s illegals rushing our borders to be deported instead of dispersed irretrievably?

Camp voted against the border bill yesterday. Whomever he is supporting, we should be against.

Only 4 republicans voted against it and I believe Upton was the only one.

I met Mr. Konetchy this spring, just before Dave Camp announced he wasn’t running again. He’s OK, I think maybe the best choice of the three, but I just don’t know for sure because all I know about Mitchell is he has a lot of money to waste on robo calls and postcards and radio spots. I have the general impression that Moolenaar is the Chosen One and will disappoint.
Konetchy’s website has a lot of information, more than most candidates have, it seems. https://www.peterkonetchy.com/

I was polled and said I would vote for Konechty. But I don’t think he has a chance. I’d like not to waste my vote on a RINO. I still don’t know enough about Mitchell or Moolenaar. I’m leaning to Moolenaar based on the Sen. Mike Lee endorsement.

Go to the post above to see what Moolenaarn voted for and against. If you are leaning towards him his voting record is the best way to see how he will vote. All his votes are there in the link above.

I’ve met Konetchy and he’s a softspoken but highly principled guy. A friend of mine is helping him. “Good guy running on a shoestring budget” was his comment. I hear Mitchell is a RINO and that Moolenaar is mainstream establishment but at least a social conservative. I don’t live there but I’d support Konetchy, Moolenaar, and Mitchell in that order .

At least one of the local tea party groups support Konetchy. Gladwin.

I didn’t know about the Mike Lee endorsement. That helps. I am probably voting for Konechty in the primary.
It worries me a bit that Mitchell could be riding a wave of anti-establishment sentiment and once he got in would be a RINO. I still haven’t seen any TEA party endorsements of any of these guys, have you?

I just wasted an hour of my life listening to a live teleconference with Paul Mitchell.
He might be OK if he gets in, but mostly he just kept making noise about being an outsider and repeating campaign lines.
I wonder why TPE didn’t endorse either of the other two guys?

for the District 4 people interested, Moolenaar's having a teleconference with Rick Santorum in 40 minutes from right now at 6:45 pm: 989-785-7007. The message said he'll have more calls.
Mrs. P, it would be interesting to have your take and comparison on the 2 teleconferences.
