When I was at I Corps (ROK/US) Group at Camp Red Cloud in Uijongbu, a similar organization, the commander, a lieutenant general, was American, his deputy was Korean, the chief-of-staff was American, the G staff were all Korean colonels or one stars with American O-6 deputies, etc. Pretty standard stuff in a joint command.

for a joint command, sure, but this doesn’t read as a NATO chain of command, this is the Army of the good old U S of A, founded 14 June 1775. Guess we better head over to Buckman Tavern and get ready to form up on the Green. Will Paul Revere please pick up the red courtesy phone? Paul Revere.
