Another strange point in the case is that the Kyle lawyer agreed to & accepted an 8-2 jury verdict instead of a hung jury when the jury told the judge they were hopelessly hung.
There would have been another trial if they were declared to be hung. I don’t think they would have wanted to go through another trial. This one was plenty expensive.
