I’m sure there are a couple of old WWII barracks still at Ft. Hood used as museums that can provide the example for the new “temporary barracks” for design and building materials.

While Perry's stands at the border looking south along with his bold plan, there will be 30 millions illegals standing behind him, cheering and giving him their full support....

The direct flights are a distraction. The hardcore smugglers are not going to go the ‘legal’ route. Why should they?

Bold plan? All is relative. It was Perry’s perks and Jeb Bush remarks that attracted trouble. It was an “act of love”, Jeb said, and we were “heartless” Rick said, not to approve this stuff.

I went along with it in Texas, for those kids who grew up in Texas, in the US, never knew any other country and saw our government totally blow off citizenship requirements for them. Now those kids are in a trap because of this INVASION and the game is changed on them and us.

we are constantly told we are the most violent country on the earth. Even though that is not true, and never will be, how is it that people in some of our worst crime-ridden cities cannot apply for this same refugee status? This is something that I would support Jesse Hijackson in, if he had the brains and will to mount a campaign demanding it from the Preezy.

I say let Rick do his thing and lets see how it turns out. A lot of Freepers might be surprised. Somebody call Beck and tell him where to deliver the teddy bears and soccer balls.

“housed until their case is adjudicated”

How about immediate deportation? If you enter illegally you are summarily deported. Period.

California versus Texas on the immigration emergency.

“Gov. Jerry Brown suggested Monday that Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s ordering of National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to address the surge in border crossings is misguided, urging politicians instead to heed the “religious call … to welcome the stranger” in addressing the crisis.

“This is a human problem, and it has been the religious call of all religions to welcome the stranger, and it’s in that spirit that I believe the clergy can call the United States, Mexico and all the players to perhaps a higher response than might otherwise happen,”
