Yes, I read this report early this morning west coast time zone. Comments from the website which it was posted on mostly belittled this press conference and denigrated it by saying not more than a half dozen people showed up. So the thought was that it was going nowhere.
However, there is Senator Cruz’ involvement who also serves as the Vice-Chair of the NRSC. So we may see some enforcement action because of Ted.
I did see some ‘GOP’ internet blogs and newzines suggest that Ted could be implicated because he is VC for the NRSC. I think those people don’t understand what the consequences are of picking a fight with Texans.
Still it’s an important newsworthy item to elevate to the national media. It draws clear attention that people’s contributions for GOP players to fight against democrats like Harry Reid are instead being against republicans, Tea Party republicans.
I also think the Mark Mayfield matter needs a lot more exposure. This is one where every American can get connected with and feel plenty sad. Mark Mayfield, one fine man, a bedrock for his family and friends, a pillar of his community and a quintessential Southern Gentleman, lost his life because of the antics of the GOPe and Cochran people in MS.
