“Some people just want to watch the world burn”
Isn’t that a line the Joker used in Batman movie? Strange, Heath Ledger it was said, had changed after getting “too” into the role of Joker before he died (Just a rumor.) The map in one of the Batman movies had Sandy Hook on it and there was some kind of tie-in with the massacre and the movie/map. The dude that blew people up in the theater was dressed like/thought he was the joker.
No. Right movie, wrong attribution.
It was Alfred (Michael Cain) explaining to Bruce Wayne what he saw in the character of the Joker.
He was telling him a story from WWII, where in Burma, they were sent to find a bandit who was raiding convoys of gems and precious stones that was intended to buy the loyalty of tribal leaders to fight against the Japanese.
He says: "But their caravans were being raided in a forest north of Rangoon by a bandit. So, we went looking for the stones. But in six months, we never met anybody who traded with him. One day, I saw a child playing with a ruby the size of a tangerine. The bandit had been throwing them away."
Bruce asks: "So why steal them?"
Alfred says: "Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn".
Some men, just want to watch the country burn.

The map in the Batman movie with “Sandy Hook”....
Since “Gotham” was really New York City, that map was probably showing the six-mile long sand bar, or “spit,” on the northeast coast of New Jersey known as Sandy Hook.
It’s not far from New York Harbor, just a short ways south of Staten Island and Brooklyn. There’s an 18th century light house there at Sandy Hook as well.

Had to see if the movie was after the shooting and sort of a “memorial” to it. Nope. The movie came out in July, the shooting in Dec., 2012. Lots of youtube stuff with all sorts of conspiracy theories with the movie. Although I have to say, that Sandy Hook thing has a lot of weirdness going on with it.
