The Clintons love playing the phony triangulation card. This will not spilt the Democrat party. All of them -- every last stinkin' one of them -- will vote for Hillary.
Hillary is trying to appear more centrist. This is her message and Rush is pushing it.

This is a fight for leadership of the Dem party, not just 2016, but beyond. Obama’s organization is Obama’s. He built it, and he is not going to turn it over to Hillary. That was part of the promise to the Clinton’s = that was the help he was going to give to the Clinton’s, not just coming out and endorsing her, but turning over to her, the election mechanism that his followers have built over the last 8 years.
And don’t discount the rivalry of being the “First Black President” and all the prestige that comes from that vs Hillary’s claim of being the “First Woman President” and all the accolades that would come from that. Obama does not want to be over shadowed. He doesn’t want to be yesterdays news. Have no doubts, there is a real rivalry.
