I fear the unions when membership/dues are compulsory and mandatory — this alone is incentive for them to do not even barely adequate
on whatever their purpose is, but instead the least that they can do that won't result in an outright revolt. (This means that they can, and do, work against the interests of the average Joe
-members.)
Yes; unions have hurt us — all of us.
Unions are a big reason for food/product price inflation, I would assume second only to government regulation.

How much of the Left's cash flow is from truly voluntary donations, versus cash from intimidation and theft?
How much is from businesses forced to pay "protection" in order to get peace? How much is from businesses "consenting" to pay money to leftist causes, in lieu of regulatory fines?
How much is laundered tax money, given in "grants"?
And to add, the Left prefers (read: demands) to have the racket all to itself.
The GOP, for right or wrong, tried the same thing with the “K St. Project” ... and look how the Left reacted.
