I read somewhere amid all the threads here that in Mississippi, Democrats could only vote in the Republican primary if they planned to vote Republican in the general election.

Good luck enforcing that one.

Actually, that would be easy as hell,. Go to the neiborhoods with the list of names, posing as a tv news crew, ask them if they plan to vote for the Democrat or Republican come November. They’ll stupidly say ‘Democrat’, then take that to the judge

The big issue for cross-over voters was if they voted in the Democratic primary on 6/3, they were NOT allowed to vote in the Republican run-off on 6/24. It is illegal.

*pinging* Black Agnes as she is in MS and is a font of information on this.

They should have done what they did in Oklahoma. We had a different ballot for Republicans and Democrats. The way you had already indicated your party when registering to vote determined which ballot you were getting.

If someone voted in the dem primary on june 3, they were NOT to vote in the Republican primary runoff on June 24. Any voters that did so, did so illegally.
