Fellow Conservatives:
We have very exciting news to share with you.
Not only did the grassroots in Virginia score a major victory for freedom last night by defeating House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the Republican primary, but one of Virginia's strongest grassroots conservatives is joining our team.
Starting today, Ken Cuccinelli, the former Attorney General of Virginia, will serve as the president of the Senate Conservatives Fund!
If you dont know Ken, hes a principled fighter who is respected by the grassroots and is passionate about electing the next generation of conservative leaders. Throughout his time in public service, whether in Virginias State Senate or as Attorney General, Ken led the fight to defend constitutional rights, protect life, stop tax increases, and keep Virginia a low-regulation state.
As Attorney General, Ken fought the federal government to reduce burdensome regulations from the EPA, FCC, National Labor Relations Board, and -- most famously -- was the first to sue to stop Obamacare.
Ken Cuccinelli is the perfect person to continue and expand on what former Senator Jim DeMint started with SCF.
Were confident that Ken will help the grassroots do even more to help elect principled conservatives to the U.S. Senate.
And Ken could not be joining our team at a better time. Not only did Dave Brat win in Virginia last night, but thanks to your support, Ben Sasse won in Nebraska and Joni Ernst won in Iowa.
And now we're on the verge of nominating Chris McDaniel in Mississippi and T.W. Shannon in Oklahoma on June 24th.
Conservatives are on the move and it's more important than ever for the grassroots to work together to support principled candidates.
Please watch Ken Cuccinelli's video message to all SCF members and then send him a quick note welcoming him to the team.
Ken explains why he's excited to join SCF and why it's important for Americans to stand up to the Washington establishment.
Thank you for your dedication to our nation's founding principles and thank you for supporting SCF. You're changing Washington one election at a time.
Best regards,
Matt Hoskins
Executive Director
Senate Conservatives Fund
I was hoping that Mr. Cuccinelli would take heart and run again, but if this is a position of influence and leadership, then I say, another miracle that God has graced us.
Am I mistaken or didn’t they fully back mitch?
Not the worst place to land.
“The Senate Conservatives Fund [...] had made Bevin one of their key candidates this year, hoping to unseat the minority leader. [...] But after McConnell triumphed tonight, SCF was quick to endorse his general-election effort” - http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/378423/mcconnell-wins-ky-primary-senate-conservatives-fund-immediately-endorses-patrick
And thus they are the problem, not the solution. Astroturf filled with GOP pretending to be TEA party.
When one is quick to back the man that was out to destroy you, by his own words, odds are you were never the opposition to begin with.

Oh, no, quite the contrary! They 100% backed Matt Bevin in the Kentucky Senate race and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in their attempt to help Bevin defeat McConnell. In fact, I believe it was the Senate Conservatives Fund’s support of Bevin that drove McConnell into his infamous meltdown in which he declared the Tea Party “needs to be punched in the nose”.
I would like to have seen DeMint run against Graham.
I don't mean to rain on the parade - this IS a day to celebrate - but we cannot lose perspective, causing us to become the least bit complacent. That is what killed us in the first place.
The way his Senate race went down depressed me for months... he’s a good man and will be helpful to us in his new job.
Well, when you endorse the guy that wants you destroyed you are a fraud. No way around that. In the real world you don’t spend months telling people X is satan, that satan is bad, then hop on board with satan proclaiming he is the right man for the job. That is pure hypocracy, asinine and the cause of why we have a govt that does nothing we tell them to.
Now if you disagree with any of the above, please detail why and show proof where it is illogical, wrong ect.

So, again, who should they have endorsed after the true conservative they supported was defeated: the Democrat? a third-party candidate? nobody?
(And where did the SCF say he was the right man for the job?)
There are some here that always back the Dems.
They pretend it’s all about conservatism, but it’s always something that helps seems get more power.
You’d know about frauds...
Not seeing any rebuttal based on facts. Care to provide one?
And there are some that push lesser evil PINOs and claim to be conservative.
I figured the way the GOP-E hung the VA Republican gubernatorial candidate, Cuccinelli,, out to dry and then he lost to a Clintonite, played a huge role in people going against Cantor.
A very deserved defeat!
I haven't seen anyone say the SCF should have endorsed the Dem over McConnell. And I don't agree that endorsing a third-party candidate, or no candidate, is the same as "backing the Dem" (not that you said it was).
They should STICK TO THEIR STATED FUNDRAISING GOALS and back a CONSERVATIVE. There were other options.
I do not care who that is. If it is a no name, so be it. But one cannot stick to principle one min and then go all situational ethics when the traffic changes direction and BE a conservative.
