After Criticizing Obama, Sen. Feinstein Claims She’s Now Out of the Loop

Although she’s been there for the president multiple times in the past defending his policies, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) now claims that since attacking the president over the Taliban prisoner exchange, she’s been left out of the loop.

She told Politico on Monday that she’s received a phone call from Deputy National Security Advisor Tony Blinken a week ago, apologizing for an ‘oversight’ in not notifying her beforehand about the exchange of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in return for the release of five senior Taliban officials, but since then she hasn’t received any personal outreach from the president or any other top WH official.

She told the outlet that she has no reason to believe anything will change this week. Asked in a brief interview if she anticipates any new outreach from the president, Feinstein replied: “I probably don’t expect it.”

Sen. Feinstein — the Senate Intelligence Chairwoman — has been very critical of the White House’s decision to bypass congress. The administration cited security claims that Bergdahl would have been killed if word of the swap would have leaked to congress

“We’ve been notified before when lives are at stake and that’s why we don’t leak,” she told reporters recently. “When we found out it had already happened, that was the shock, of not being notified.”

Veterans strongly disagree with the prisoner swap, according to a USA Today poll released on Monday. From the 128 veterans included in the poll, only 6% of respondents say they sympathized with him, while 33% say they were angry. By 68%-16%, veterans say Obama made the wrong decision.

I think a lot of Democrats are privately praying that Obama rides out the next two years without any more major screw-ups. They know it’s getting very close to the point where they may have no choice but to publicly call for him to step down. They don’t want to do it, but they know the survival of their party is at stake (not to mention the survival of the country - but that’s secondary to them.)

Leave it to FReepers to take a piece of good news - Obama support eroding - and ignore that and hammer on past transgressions. No, Di Fi is not our new heroine; but attacks from the left are what WE need.

Shock. Dismay. Disturbed. Disappointed.

These are the words our Reps in DC are using about the Birddog swap.

Where are words like “Outraged!” “Furious” “Angry!”?

Watch—all these Dems will spout off, but they will do NOTHING about it.

Like Web Hubbell did for the Clintons, they will dutifully roll over for the Boy King—one more time.

Sen. Feinstein — the Senate Intelligence Chairwoman

There is an oxymoron if I've ever seen one. To use her name and intelligence in the same sentence is an insult to intelligent people everywhere.

White house rump swabs are trying to keep Obama clean.
