Cruz is shaky on illegal immigration. He’s not Rubio, but he’s not speaking out about it like he does with other issues.

Well he can’t be that bad since the vote was all about illegals and he aced it.

Actually Ted Cruz doesn’t speak out much except about what others in the Senate are cooking up.

But he has said plenty about legal and illegal immigration in the legislation he has offered and which was voted down. And all of that legislation has been discussed fully right here.

The bottom line for Ted on immigration is we need the cream of the cream of talent working here in the USA to maintain our competitive edge and for those illegally here, he is for a system that registers them with no hope of any amnesty, in effect rounding them up and deporting them or have them self deport. He is also for strong border protection including militarization of the border.

Everything he says about border security and immigration is crystal clear, conservative and smart as it gets.

bleeech... and just who do you think will do a better job?

In January his exact words were “Cruz said he recognizes that the current immigration system is broken. He said, however, Republicans should wait until next year, contending it would make more sense “so that we are negotiating a responsible solution with a Republican Senate majority rather than with Chuck Schumer.”

“Anyone pushing an amnesty bill right now should go ahead and put a ‘Harry Reid for Majority Leader’ bumper sticker on their car, because that will be the likely effect if Republicans refuse to listen to the American people and foolishly change the subject from Obamacare to amnesty,” he said.”

That is hardly shaky. Our immigration system is broken. We shouldn’t do anything until we have a majority in the Senate. That hardly constitutes being ‘shaky’.
