I think they’re keeping the guy in Germany to get information from him...he won’t be coming home anytime soon...and that’s also why they aren’t letting him speak to his parents....
Bet the father is under investigation as well..and likely the mother.
If they already haven’t converted to Islam they were certainly in far enough to “snatch”.
