Not taking a union position at all. Firemen have saved my family.

There are almost no volunteer firemen within 100 miles of me. At least not where there are more than 50 people in a town.
Who exactly should be dispatched on a 911 call where the conditions are not explained? The cops? They just want to direct traffic and shoot stuff.
When a call comes in from a commercial facility they send firemen because there is a possibility of mass injuries because the people calling are usually not clear and they are idiots.
You strike me as someone who reads a lot and has answers for everything, but you most likely have never been responsible for much beyond bringing beer to the bowling team cookout.
