President Obama said Americans were “better off now than when I came into office,” during a fundraiser Monday night outside of Washington.
Obama also slammed congressional Republicans for their focus on the terror attack in Benghazi and the implementation of ObamaCare.
The president told attendees at the high-dollar soiree in Potomac, Maryland that his Republican opposition in Congress had been “captured by ideologues” whose principal focus was on “how to make people sufficiently skeptical, so they can win the next election.”
“The debate now is about what?” Obama asked. “Benghazi? ObamaCare? It becomes this endless loop.”
Obama told donors that he preferred a robust Republican Party — “I come from the Land of Lincoln” — but that the current iteration of the GOP did not believe “that government can get anything done.”
Obama’s remarks came at a fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee at the home of Jeffrey Drenzer, a medical training and technology executive. Tickets to the event, billed as an “intimate dinner,” ranged from $10,000 per person to $32,400 per couple.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), DCCC Chairman Steve Israel (D-N.Y.), and Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley (D) joined a sizable contingent of House Democrats at the event, including Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and fellow Maryland Democrats Elijah Cummings, Chris Van Hollen, Donna Edwards, Dutch Ruppersberger, and John Delaney. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) was also in attendance.
On his way to the fundraiser, Obama stopped to chat with a group of little league teams at a Northwest D.C. baseball field. The president posed for pictures and quizzed the co-ed teams on their drills.
But think about it for a minute. If we have figured this out, so has every world leader. They all know the leader of the free world is either delusional or a cannot be trusted to speak a single word of truth.
Additionally, he is a coward. He would not commit forces to save his own operatives in Benghazi. The words he utters have NO MEANING WHATSOEVER.
All the dictators, Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, AQ and the rest have been given a blank cheque. They can grab all the real estate they want, and they are doing it.
The Ukraine is a side show. The real show is in Asia, in the South China Sea. China is on the move. The US response is....crickets.
You can repeat it as often as you wish.;-)
Case in point, when he referred to himself as one of the 4 best Presidents... he wasn't lying, he was simply looking through that prism. The 4 he named were Lincoln, FDR, LBJ, and himself. Each one had a massive benefit for black Americans at great expense for white Americans. That is their only point in common. Try it and you'll see. It works.
Hell, I'd even go to Disney World to celebrate... If I wasn't unemployed... /s
What an arrogant SOB. I’m on my 2nd layoff since he took office and have seen my annual pay drop almost 20%. And the cost of practically everything has doubled under his watch.
And people still believe the lies he tells?
The even sadder part is that his faithful followers believe it.

Obama's speech on the glories of self-absorption shows, once again, that the political ploys Dummycrats have elevated to an art form is pretending it didn't happen when their cockamamie policies collapse before their very eyes. Or, as Hillary would say: "What difference does it make?"

Obama seems unusually toxic this election season because his approach to governing has been to shove as much left-wing nonsense down the throats of the American public as he could, then make excuses and try to blame Republicans when the policies don’t work out as he and his Democrat rubber stampers claimed they would.
Certainly all his cronies are better off. The rest of us are much poorer.
Bingo! Liar in chief strikes again. Either he is lying (which is a safe bet, he lies literally every time he utters more than a few sentences on any topic) or he is wildly, painfully delusional or perhaps he is just mind bogglingly out of touch - like Marie Antoinette “let them eat cake” out of touch. I prefer the simple explanation - he is lying, again, still.
