One of the goals of Marxism is to destroy history itself, for several eminently logical reasons. The Soviets would constantly change the history books, depending on who was in or out of favor. This is also one of the themes of the book “1984”, which has never been more relevant. (Re-) read it while you still can.

I’m starting to believe that the only thing holding back a very dismal future is the Internet.

This, of course, is being addressed.

You think our future depends on ‘the internet’? really? Many of us could go back to life without computers, cell phones, and without constant interruptions...maybe some adjustment needed.

Yes, I like FR and a few places, but most of it is still a dangerous place for identity theft and loss of information. I stay off of FR in years without an election for months at a time....even a year.
