One of the goals of Marxism is to destroy history itself, for several eminently logical reasons. The Soviets would constantly change the history books, depending on who was in or out of favor. This is also one of the themes of the book “1984”, which has never been more relevant. (Re-) read it while you still can.

The especially galling thing about this, is that according to his autobiography/memoirs, he held many extremely liberal views in his time that he felt that he could not make public for 100 years, which is why the book was published only very recently. Little did he know that the liberals whom he was counting on for understanding now want to suppress his work - a lesson to be learned here, certainly.

Yes, I like FR and a few places, but most of it is still a dangerous place for identity theft and loss of information. I stay off of FR in years without an election for months at a time....even a year.

It’s like a tool; it can be used for good and bad purposes. There is no question that I have lived better and done things that I would not have believed possible for me to ever do, and a lot of that capability was acquired for free.
There can be no argument, that it has made more information available to everyone. Can you imagine what the politics of NOW would be like without it? Where would you get your news from? ABC, NBC, CBS, Time, or Newsweek?

True...but I see all of that coming to an end with internet goals of restricting free speech, and the left fully intends to let the global government control this medium.
I find all these changes line up with scriptural projections, so not surprised. Did anyone ever realize how quickly our country would change after 9/11? No, I think some still haven’t figured it out. ‘The Ostrich, with it’s head in the sand syndrome’ still exists for many with all our connection to knowledge via internet.
Sure we (FRs) all have researched and learned a lot, said a lot, and kept up with politics. Some people have reconnected with old friends and made new ones...and some things have been disasters, all in all good and bad purposes accomplished.

I should be so lucky (sarc)...No I’m an older female who has wised up over the years. Yes, I was USNR for years, and dated a few sailors in my time, and also a former Army National Guard for one tour. All Honorable Discharges.
