Here we go again! According to Fox in 2013, this is called "piano voting", where Rada members make votes for absent members at their request, giving them their ID card. It's kinda illegal but it became the status quo under Yanukovych.

The Maidan Rada actually passed cloture on a bill banning "piano voting" last week and will actually be voting on it...three hours from now! What a coincidence. That link should show the current progress of the bill.

The piano orchestra in action!

They seem to make girls differently in Ukraine, because even the female Ukrainian politicians are invariably as beautiful as they are corrupt.

Thank you....BTW It isn’t legal despite the fact they do this. So much for Ukraine politics....imagine if they handle voting this way in Rada is it no secret everything else, from the top down, is equally as corrupt.

As has been mentioned before...how Ukraine operates in their country and in their Government, as with all nations, is not going to be as we might think it should be. Heck, even our Gov. is just as corrupt!

BTW...according to your article on 'PIANO VOTING IN UKRAINE"S PARLIMENT'.....Exerts:

Ukraine piano voting IS "a violation of the Constitution and several laws"...but that hasn't stopped it from being rampant in Ukraine....................One former legislator from the Party of Regions, billionaire Rinat "Akhmetov", was seen in the Rada only ONCE in the course of his five-year term — while his voting card was used in hundreds of votes.

83 lawmakers, or nearly 20 percent of Verkhovna Rada members, have been caught either voting for someone else or having colleagues vote for them since the NEW Parliament was sworn in in December.

Four members of the biggest opposition party, which had proposed to send piano voters to jail, have been caught doing it.............Mikhail Chechetov of Ukraine's Party of Regions does not see much of a problem......"What matters is that decisions that the country needs get passed," Chechetov told reporters.
