I am against subsidies for arenas.

BUT, the Red Wings bring money in from hockey fans in Ontario.

McDonalds’ income mostly comes at the expense of other local restaurants, grocery stores and convenience stores. Their real value is the customer getting more for his money, which is illusory if it is subsidized.
