The forgery was a very amateur job.
Why didn’t Obama get a skilled professional to do it?
Because he’s so full of himself, he never can bother to lie skillfully. He always just goes ahead and lies carelessly. Because he’s the Messiah, and no one is going to catch him out.
And if dozens of experts point out that the on-line COLB is a forgery, he just shrugs and goes on with his planned distraction—the capture of Osama bin Ladin, who is thrown into the ocean and vanished.
Meantime, he’s too busy golfing to care, and he shows up late in the situation room for the Osama announcement.
The press, of course, blames any and all remaining discrepancies on Crazy Vast Right-Wing Birthers. It can’t be the Messiah!
I don't even think that is a factor. He has been told the press has his back, that Holder will stonewall any investigation and that he is safe from being called to account. The person(s) pulling the strings have his back, and he knows it.
By now, we all should know that Obama does nothing. He needs to know nothing. He is presented with various faits accomplis and given instructions. He is an ignorant man. Hell, he may even be stupid. Does not matter.
As far as the forgeries go, and of course they are forgeries, why are they important? Although they certainly are suitable grist for our gossip mill, they actually don't mean a thing to Team Obama.
Perhaps because it was more important to have somebody do it who was trustworthy?
Many believe that the 18-minute gap in the Watergate tapes was accomplished by Nixon himself. It was amateurish in that the individual starting and stopping points for the multiple erasures could be identified on the tape.
It would have been more important for Nixon that nobody was in a position to ever testify that the tape was erased than to have a more expert job by someone who might someday testify to the destruction of evidence, possibly including the content of the lost conversation.
