I knew when he opened his mouth, he was doomed. He was told 100 times to shut up. He felt that he was more important then the two in front of him. The worst of it all he didn’t say a coherent thing. Nothing of substance to the discussion at all. He was told to leave.....he told the cop he wasn’t going.....he said arrest me.....the cop said, “OK”. Why threaten a cop with arresting you? That is the dumbest thing. Do I think the guy should do time in jail? Not more than a weekend for sure. At least next time, when they are running a meeting, he will shut his trap until his turn. The first guy was so respectful.

Great country we live in. Try to protect your child from smut and you get arrested! Yea, yea, I know, he was arrested for disorderly conduct. However, he was only trying to protect his child from unacceptable reading material.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that a once great nation like the US would become such a corrupt and vile place to live. A place were you can’t even protect your child from pornography in the school system.

That guy should have emulated Al Pacino in the movie ‘Scent of a Woman’, where there was some kind of disciplinary committee ready to wrongfully fry one student.

One man hit the gavel and said “You’re out of order, sir”. Al Pacino - “Out of order? I SHOW you out of order!” It was a great scene.

At any rate, bravo to those parents who speak up. Most public school teachers seem to have this smug arrogance about them; it’s quite annoying.

Because of his attitude, the guy accomplished nothing.

I watched the video, and I did not hear the officer warn the parent that you must leave, and leave now or you would be arrested. Instead, he said “come on”, meaning what? Come on!

Is that a lawful command, “come on” that must be obeyed whenever it is issued by an officer of the law? Must we be in fear of the policeman who says come on, and if we do not jump, at his command, are we subject to arrest? Did the officer not like what the parent said?

I am very pro police in most situations, but this is so wrong in so many ways. Doesn’t the parent have the right to speak, and if so, only until an officer commands, “come on”?

The school board members who sit by and let this take place should be ashamed.

Some bright enterprising individual should hire a 20 year old couple and have them pose as 9th grade students. During discussion of the “rough sex” part of the book they would stand up and show the rest of the students how it’s done.

Why oh why do people still hand their children over to these governmental educational centers?

I just have to say ...

After feeling depressed by this, I realized that it made my day. My homeschooling friends and I are stressing about high school questions like which is the best Latin curriculum, which history cycles to use, how to fit in most of the great books of Western civilization in so little time, the pros and cons of persuasive writing courses, and how to get ready for dual enrollment for college science classes. We have almost-ninth graders.

I was really worried about those things. I felt like a failure this week for not having all the answers. As for what we’re reading — My 7th grader finished an essay on The Bronze Bow, my 8th grader just finished Pride and Prejudice and gave an oral synopsis to her lit. group, and our friends are getting through the end of Veritas’ Omnibus I and are reading Plutarch’s Lives.

When I’m riddled with guilt and stress (brought on by meeting older relatives at Easter who think public school is not to be missed), here are 9th graders in public school reading absolute crap and the school board wasting time on it.

Talk about a self-esteem booster.

Any parent that sends their kids to public schools deserves EXACTLY what they get. If they want to complain, then yes, they should be subject to arrest, if for nothing else, then sending their kids to the school in the first place.

Why does the left want to force sex on young children?

Here’s another school assignment in CA.

Rialto Assignment Asking Students to Question Holocaust to Be Revised

The Rialto school district planned to revise an eighth-grade assignment that raised red flags by asking students to consider arguments about whether the Holocaust — the systematic killing by the Nazis of some 6 million Jews and millions of others — was not an “actual event” but instead a “propaganda tool that was used for political and monetary gain.”

Should we be polite about this, too? Being polite gets you nothing. The left doesn’t respond to politeness. I am glad stories about what schools have become are getting noticed. America is headed for total destruction and it begins in public schools. All the more reason for responsible Americans to home-school their children.
