It’s like they are putting you on and not even bothering to conceal it. Is that what’s so disturbing about it?

That is not what bothers me most but I did notice that a few years ago.
It is noticeably beyond mere incompetent lying.

I believe they are so sure that no one will do anything about their lies, they lie and laugh and are brazen enough to double down. It is a very dangerous arrogance.

Fact is, it has worked so far.
