Glad to hear you and your colleagues came through ok, even the guy who took on an AK-47 with a revolver. Got a question though: did you guys cock the hammers with your thumbs — that would make trigger action better and eliminate staging.

No. We were taught how to properly execute the maneuver, but discouraged from using it in a fast moving gunfight, as it took too long to engage the target, and deemed extremely hazardous in a high stress situation. Bottom line: the man with the AK47 was a communist insurgent trained in guerrilla tactics. He used his weapon as designed; a bullet hose, engaging in "spray and pray" from a distance. Our guy went into the fight all by his lonesome, with six rounds (12 more in two speed loaders), and trained in CQB to make every shot count. Revolvers better than high-cap semi-autos? Hell no. Training and mind set is.
