I have an old police trade-in Model 19-3 that looked like 20 miles of bad road when I bought it. I cleaned it all up (still looks like a beater), and it shoots like a dream. I almost had my hands on another 19 today, but someone got to it before I did.
The 19 is one of my favorites too... had a bunch of them over the years. Only one now, a pre-19 (Smith started model number in 1957) first year of manufacture 1955. Butter smooth and fast.
