Your guess is as good as mine. I asked why he thought Sterling needed more than one woman and told him my theory that he feared death. His answer was variety and after stifling the urge to go bang my head on the wall I asked him again repeating my theory and he said death has nothing to do with it. He is seventy-seven and I just turned fifty and we have been married twenty-six years. I have just learned that sometimes my tolerance and sense of humor must triumph over a search for logic in our arguments. I have so many stories of being asked if I was his daughter and similar things that all that matters really is “love.” Our daughter is always reminding me we are all goofs in some way. I chalk it up to we are both goofs.
I would call it ‘age’ as the driver rather than ‘death’, but they are closely related.
A younger date makes us feel younger. It works with both sexes.
A read a poll survey result here recently where women over 50 feel like they became invisible to men when they reached ~ 50, where-as when younger they felt that men reacted positively to their appearance.
With some its 40 I am sure.
