It is 100% clear that Cliven Bundy is not saying that blacks should be slaves picking cotton, but that the Federal government has created conditions for them so terrible, that their current situation may actually be worse. (If you are person of low intelligence, the fact that that is his point might be too hard for you to understand.)

Everyone--even the harshest critics of Bundy's comments--understands that this was his point. Most people, however (other than the relatively few people who are defending/agreeing with the comments) understand that the point is complete bullsh*t. Yes, government policies have done untold harm to the black family structure since at least the Great Society in the 60s. But, as bad as modern policies have been, they don't even begin to compare to the harm and horrors caused by slavery.

Would that be the slavery where the majority of slave owners were the Mulatto's?

Would that be the the first (and forgotten) slaves who never saw indenture-hood (white Irish)?

Or how about the first Black man ... who owned slaves and through his court battles .. was responsible for making slavery legal in this country?
