I don’t know what to make of him. I know he supported Solidarity in Poland. I know he screwed the Brits out of lots of money. I know lots of FReepers hate him, like he’s Goldstein in Orwell’s 1984. I don’t get it.

And you probably never will.

Euromaidan was a wave of protest that toppled the old government in Ukraine, and that led to the current regime. A regime that Obama supports, but won’t help - at least not direct and out in the open.

If I am not mistaken, I believe that it is now general knowledge that the protets were feuled by Svoboda, Pravy Sektor, others like them, and anti-Russian elements.

I wonder what Gleen Beck would have to say...

Read this and you, like any non evil sociopath will come to the same conclusion about that piece of human trash...

KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.

Mr. SOROS: Yes. Yes.

KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.

Mr. SOROS: Yes. That’s right. Yes.

KROFT: I mean, that’s–that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?

Mr. SOROS: Not–not at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child you don’t–you don’t see the connection. But it was–it created no–no problem at all.

KROFT: No feeling of guilt?

Mr. SOROS: No.

KROFT: For example that, ‘I’m Jewish and here I am, watching these people go. I could just as easily be there. I should be there.’ None of that?

Mr. SOROS: Well, of course I c–I could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense that I shouldn’t be there, because that was–well, actually, in a funny way, it’s just like in markets–that if I weren’t there–of course, I wasn’t doing it, but somebody else would–would–would be taking it away anyhow. And it was the–whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So the–I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.

I know lots of FReepers hate him....I don’t get it.

He profits from other’s misery and loss. He buys elections with his millions by working his way into the hierarchy of political systems/positions (ala SOS project). Not to mention his collaborating with the Nazi’s thing.

What’s not to get?

Because Glenn Beck thinks he's really powerful, a lot of FReepers think that Soros is really powerful.

They don't realize how small his fund is or how limited his resources actually are.

He likes to meddle, he's got a very Euro, very multiculti outlook, and he really thinks he has the answers to everything.

The same goes for many, many CEOs and financiers who are far wealthier and more influential than he is.

Warren Buffett and Bill Gates being two prominent examples.

A neocon claims to not have an opinion about Soros and doesn’t understand why conservatives don’t like him.

That sums up neoconservatism in a nutshell.
