12 Signs That Something Big Is Happening To The Earths Crust Under North And South America
By Michael Snyder
on March 30th, 2014
Why are fault lines and volcanoes all over North and South America suddenly waking up? Are we moving into a time when major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions will become much more common? For the past several decades, we have been extremely fortunate to have experienced a period of extremely low seismic activity along the west coast of the United States. You see, the west coast lies right along the infamous Ring of Fire. Approximately 75 percent of all the volcanoes in the world are on the Ring of Fire, and approximately 90 percent of all global earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. Scientists tell us that it is inevitable that "the Big One" will hit California someday, but people have gotten very apathetic about this because things have been so quiet out there for so many years. Well, now it appears that things are changing in a big way - and not just along the California coast. The following are 12 signs that something big is happening to the earth's crust under North and South America...
#1 The 5.1 earthquake that shook Los Angeles on Friday was the worst earthquake that the city had seen in many years.
#2 Following that earthquake, there were more than 100 aftershocks.
#3 A 4.1 earthquake shook Los Angeles on Saturday. Scientists are hoping that this earthquake swarm in southern California will end soon.
#4 Earlier this month, a 4.4 earthquake rattled Los Angeles so badly that it caused news anchors to dive under their desks.

oh my!
Since the 2012 election, and maybe even before, Obama has been praising GWB holding him up as an example of what he wants GOP in congress to be like.
Democrats occasionally cite the “great recession’ but rarely mention GWB anymore.
Need to sell some stock & hold a cash position:)
how can it BE Bushes Fault ...anymore? the one fallback position they always counted on..GONE? how can this be?
Now its the ‘radical extremist’ Tea party's fault.
‘Oh why cant they be more like Bush was? A deal maker?’
ahaha because were tired of BAD DEALS..perhaps......
L.A.?
No loss!
.
what an idiot.... ooooh noooo a 5.1 earthquake in California. It is so big...except of course for the Northridge quake which did a lot of damage.
Oooooh noop it was followed by hundreds of after shocks....just like every other mid to large quake.
The Sky is Falling!!! The Sky is Falling!!
Was that snarky enough??? Hope so
More likely global cooling and a shrinking crust.
It’s always scary when the shaking starts, because you never know if it’s going to build, or if an aftershock will be much worse. It’s pretty nerve wracking when you feel the house or the building you’re is moving like it’s a slinky toy. You can feel the top half moving in a different position than the bottom. It’s really weird. But once it’s over it’s pretty much like getting off a roller coaster- wheeeee!!!
On the other hand, everyone living here knows any day may be your last, if the big one hits and you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, like my mother’s classmate who died in the 1933 Long Beach quake. Still, the freeways around here are a lot more deadly!
It's unsavory work but someone has to do it.
I always want to hear the ‘worse case scenario’ and then if it turns out not to be that bad ...... then Hallelujah!
I love Baja Rock Lobster!!! 1st place I go in Newport Beach. Then next door to The District.. Haven’t been there in a few years, though. :-(
Really good restaurants all around.
Earthquake in Chile?
There's a video at the site that shows bison running down the roads.
A couple nights ago, ABC dedicated a lot of time to Gov. Moonbeam Brown of California, crying his eyes out about global warming and that others are ignoring his pleas to do something about it. He and Barbara Boxer claiming massive changes are happening now because of man. So they show video clips of the tsunami in Japan and other natural disasters. Gee, I think lots of natural disasters like tsunamis were not man's fault! Was it our fault the continents drifted apart? Earth is gonna do what Earth wants to do, regardless of us tiny specks on it's back.
I just wish they had some nationwide. Better and cheaper than Joes Crab Shack.
It will definitely be on the list of regular stops for any future visits. :)
and series :)
