If the flag was displayed incorrectly, the person who displayed it should check his citizenship. He’s only an American.
There was a whole bunch of knee jerking about this on Facebook. Since the original display was not shown, we can’t know. Flag code (which is not enforced today as no penalty is attached to failure to follow it) is that the flag can’t be part of a commercial display. If you’ve been in a Wells Fargo you probably have seen how they deck the walls with Americana. I’d probably want a flag to be distinguished from kitsch.
