I don't want to sound overly dramatic, but as the father of two children who are still too young to be in school the thought that this is what will meet them when they finally start is terrifying to me.
The math is enough to put me over the edge, but the history is worse (especially the second amendment stuff) because these kids are being conditioned to WANT to be controlled by government. Paraphrasing Reagan, this truly puts our freedom one generation away from extinction...
Well I’ll tell you, if I had children in school today I would put a group of moms together for a homeschooling neighborhood program, or move heaven and earth for private school! Problem is there are VERY long
waiting lists for private and charter schools! Neighborhood moms with an
education should have small home classrooms and be paid by parents
as tutors or such!! For GOD’S sake GET YOUR KIDS OUT of these classrooms!!!!
It’s a numbers game. The educrats know that most parents won’t pull their kids out. Therefore the freaks feel free to experiment.
Unfortunately, there is a subset of parents who define parental involvement as calling the school to complain, and who will even show up in person to go off on anyone within earshot. They’ll b!tch to relatives and friends and social media, “horrified” at the school’s inattentiveness, bureaucracy, or whatever, but in the end, they do nothing but grouse. Some people like to be perpetual victims of circumstance, even when their own children are left to suffer.
What a shame thank GOD I am not raising children today, the school
would be sick of looking at my face!! I will tell you one thing my kids
WOULD NOT be in a public school under any circumstances over my cold
dead body (maybe)!!!!
For every parent who actually follows through with action, there are vast numbers who merely screech, or remain uninvolved. The schools know this and just keep on moving forward with abominations like Commie Core. Because they can.
Government school thugs parrot their idols in Congress and the White Hut.
I think if you take a stress pill and calm down, it is pretty easy to follow what they’re up to, but yes, it is pedagogically ridiculous.
Look at the First Amendment, too. It now includes the phrase “separation of church and state.”
Not even a clever distortion.
