Board of Police Commissioners
The Branford Police Commission is a bi-partisan civilian oversight board. It functions in a similar fashion to a board of directors in a private company. Of course, the police department’s bottom line is not money. Instead, the commission works closely with the department to ensure that it produces its two most important products efficiently. Those products are crime reduction and creating public value for the citizens it serves.
